JavaScript, PokeAPIWeb-based Pokédex using the PokéAPI. It displays the original 151 Pokémon, allows users to search for Pokémon by name, mark Pokémon as favorites, and filter the list to display only favorites.
About me
My web development journey began two decades ago, crafting websites using Notepad and hosting them on Angelfire (yes, the early ones had MIDI music and animated gifs). With few tutorials available, I learned by deciphering the source code of my favorite sites.
Driven by a fascination with visual storytelling, I pursued my passion for photography into film school, ultimately earning a degree in cinematography and film editing in 2014. Over a decade, I freelanced in technical on-set roles before becoming a camera technician at a camera equipment rental house, eventually overseeing repair and maintenance.
In 2023, seeking a change, I gravitated back toward coding and web
development. I began working through The Odin
Project,
secured study leave, and applied to Business College
Helsinki, where I'm currently studying full stack web
development. My focus is on JavaScript, React,
PHP, Symfony, Drupal and MariaDB / MySQL.
Thus far the journey
feels
right.
Beyond the code, I'm an avid cyclist, enjoyer of music, art and film and player of video games. My favorite Korean variety show is Great Escape and my favorite food is Pad Kee Mao.
